JACCI SAMIOS

Born and raised in Johannesburg, Jacci's early exposure to design was shaped by her mother, an influential interior decorator who ran her business from home. Surrounded by beautiful spaces, Jacci developed a keen eye for style and a deep appreciation for creativity from a young age.

After initially studying public relations in Johannesburg, a transformative gap-year in England led her to rediscover her appetite for interiors. Enrolling at the prestigious KLC School of Design at Chelsea Harbour, London, Jacci immersed herself in all aspects of the creative process. It was here that her love for décor flourished, complemented by invaluable experience working for Poliform London on the Kings Road, delving into the realm of high-end furniture design and commerce.

Returning to South Africa, Jacci embarked on a successful career at a renowned design firm, where fate brought her together with Ockert. Their partnership flourished from their very first project, the Four Seasons Serengeti in Tanzania, marking the beginning of a shared global design journey.

Jacci's style is influenced by luminaries such as Piet Boon, Christian Liagre, and Andrew Martin, with Athena Calderone singled out as one of her design heroes.

Thriving on collaboration, whether with clients, suppliers, or fellow designers, Jacci relishes the process of sourcing and curating unique pieces.

She credits projects like ‘The Westcliff’ Four Seasons Hotel in Johannesburg and her own family home – “Kent Road Project” as gratifying professional achievements.

Now based in Australia, with her family, Jacci oversees the Australian arm of the business from Sydney.  Despite being continents apart, Jacci and Ockert have forged a remarkable professional and creative bond that transcends borders.
