Suburban Home

Interpreting Simplicity & History

Our challenge here was to interpreting the old in new ways, in the context of this home’s rich heritage.

By repurposing old floor boards, removing some unnecessary walls, adding paneling and new beading to the walls we were able to sensitively add to the layering of this important property. Reworking existing furniture was key to the success of this update - by specifically using plain tones and carefully breaking it up with Ikats pattern and the occasional graphic print, we we were able to create a design that design that supported a lifestyle, not just decoration for a home.
